Ten Things About Tristan

Thanks for inviting me to guest blog :-)

I thought you might like to get to know him a bit, so I asked Tristan, the hero of my July Eve Kenin release, HIDDEN, to tell me ten things about himself at the beginning of the book. Here’s what he had to say…I wonder if he’d still say the same things at the end of the story.

1. I don’t believe in coincidences or twists of fate.

2. I regret things I have done in my past. But given the same set of circumstances, I’d probably do the exact same things all over again.

3. I aim for an illuminated state of mind, a place where I can see clearly that there is no good or evil, only the universe as one.

4. Sometimes, I succeed.

5. Most times, something ticks me off before I get to that enlightened state, and I do a piss poor job of mastering my rage.

6. I’m a commander both by nature and training, which makes it damn hard—no, nearly impossible–to take a step back.

7. I believe that a gentleman should hold a door open for a lady. I believe in flowers and chocolate and “ladies first”, but I’m less than pleased if that means the lady has the opportunity to haul out her plasgun and blow the head off an ice pirate before I do.

8. It is not my right to end the life of another. But I have. And I will again.

9. Any way you slice it, I’m a bastard.

10.  I have taught myself to forgive…to forgive everyone but myself.

hiswickedsins_cover.JPGWow…quite the glimpse of Tristan’s tormented side. It seems that I can’t write my heroes any other way. Regardless of whether I’m writing as Eve Kenin (HIDDEN~ July/08) or Eve Silver (HIS WICKED SINS~Aug/08, NATURE OF THE BEAST~Sept/08, DEMON’S HUNGER~Dec/08), I always seem to write ‘em tortured and dark, LOL!

Check out Tristan and Tatiana’s story for yourself, and see if you think he’d change his ten things list now.

Happy reading!

Eve

LOL, I loved number 7. *grins* And is it weird that I can somewhat relate to that mentality? =) I always enjoy a peek into the Character’s mentality.

Hidden is at the top of my TBR, so please do not enter me in the contest. :)

Books in the Shomi series are auto-buys for me, but I especially loved Driven. Wizard was an unusual hero…very memorable!

I\’ve always wanted to try a shomi book, but they don\’t sell them in my area. I\’ll have to get ready for an Amazon order. Great top 10 list.
